Northgate Vehicle Hire has acquired Blakedale, the UK’s leading traffic management vehicle supplier

Northgate Vehicle Hire recently acquired Blakedale Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of specialist traffic management and support vehicles.

 

Blakedale specialise in the build and rental of new and used specialist traffic management and support vehicles.

 

Incorporating its specialisms will enable us to offer even more services to our customers across multiple parts of the business.

 

In addition to general maintenance and traffic management vehicles, Blakedale’s large fleet provides highly specialised safety equipment including innovative crash cushion vehicles – which deliver essential protection to roadworkers on motorways, and literally saves lives as shown in the clip below.

 

 

Blakedale also produce road marker posts that are used throughout the UK’s highways, motorways and trunk roads. Each is expertly constructed to the standards of the Road Transport Agency.

 

Offering a complete solution for road transport projects, they can even supply consumable parts and additional equipment for existing vehicles.

 

To lead the team, Jon Taylor, has been appointed as Managing Director of Blakedale with immediate effect. Carmen Bowley will act as Joint MD alongside Jon through the transition period.

 

We will continue to operate Blakedale as a distinct brand and business, ensuring that over time we leverage the unique capabilities of both Blakedale and Redde Northgate to deliver even more benefits to customers, colleagues, and shareholders.
